how is WPI?
« on: December 24, 2003, 07:02:19 AM »
I am planning to transform from Florida to WPI. Is WPI a good university(I mean for the graduate education). I am in worcester now and I am so disappointed to the city. I wonder if it is worth moving from Florida to here for the education.

Any advice is welcome.

ps. My major in WPI will be financial math.

Hey,

The city is not so bad, give it a chance.  I went to WPI (1989), now live in Georgia.  If you are from China, there is great Chinese food shopping in Boston - 1 hour away.

You will like the city, it is not too crowded.

WPI - TOO EXPENSIVE, UNDERSTAFFED EMPLOYEES. They just laid off a whole slew of workers there, especially secretarial/clerical workers.

Worcester is a lowsy city, don't know why someone would try to tell you otherwise, there's nothing good here. And the education system in this state is one of the worst. My advice, is stick to your plans about going back to Florida, truthfully.

Good Luck in your plans...
