Wonder Horseshoes

Some time ago apparently there was a factory or place where they made horseshoes - the type used for "pitching" or throwing.   The back of the shoes read:  St. Pierre - Worchester, MASS.    Can anyone give me a short history on these.........   Thanks............  evinrude110

I worked there( ST Pierre Chain off Shrewsbury St) about 50 years ago when they made tire chains.
