Hello,

Sven August Wikström was born 1859 Aug 30 at Ervalla Bruk (Mill) to Hans Simonsson Wikström, master smith, born 1821-12-21 in Norway and his wife Brita Nilsdotter b 1825 Sept 11 at Långviken, Grums, Värmland. She died 1869 Dec 23 at Edsvalla.

August's siblings were:
 Maria Lovisa b 1857 June 21, dead 1870 Jan 11.
 Henrik b 1862 Jan 19, dead 1865 Dec 16
and a foster son to the family Karl Johan Berg b 1864 22 May, who moved to North Amerika 1880 18 (April?).

Hans Simonsson Wikström was smith hand ?-1841-47 at Skillingsfors, at Ervalla 1847-54, assistant master smith there 1854-58, master smith there 1858-63, help smith there 1863-83, rolling mill worker there from 1883. 1900 he lived alone at the crofter's place Linåsen at Nor.

Brita's father was Nils Månsson b ca 1783 at Brunskog, user of the farm Långviken at Grums, dead 1829.  He was married to Anna Peterdotter born 1795 at Nor.

Brita had a sister Kajsa b 1829 June 16, dead 1871.
She had a daughter Anna Lisa b 1854 with miller Gustaf Andersson, a daughter Karolina b 1857 with farm hand Jonas Johansson,
a son Gustaf b 1862 with Gustaf Broqvist. She married Peter Berg (1811-1866) and had Karl b 1864 March 22 and Maria Lovisa b 1866 Febr 21 with him. I guess Karl is the foster son.

Sven August emigrated (left the parish) to North America 1879 8 April.

Much of this info is from the "Smiths 2007" CD.

In Sweden the letters V and W are used interchangably. (Often W indicates older spelling).

Best regards,
Lars

Hello,
Thank you for all that information!  Wow! I am kind of new to Swedish genealogy, I have searched my Irish roots,  and now I am looking into my Mom's Swedish family. I am not familiar with this Smith's 2007 CD you have mention. Again Thank you for all that Family history.
Best Regards,
Jack
