Ancient Order of Hibernians in Worcester
« on: March 15, 2008, 11:52:22 AM »
Does anyone know if the Worcester chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians has any historical information or photos, or know anyone who is a member? They have a building at 19 Temple Street in Worcester. My great-grandfather, John Guiney, who died in 1903, was a very active member of the AOH in Worcester during his lifetime, and Worcester was apparently a very active community for the AOH at that time. It would be a home run for me if the AOH had membership photos from that time period. I wrote to them several months ago but received no reply.

I, too, have a grandfather and his brother as members of AOH; would like to locate photos and documents on  (1) Dr. Thomas Edward McEvoy ,Div. # 1 of Worcester's AOH 1896, for 12 years he was a member for that division (2) Thomas A. McAvoy was president of Worcester's AOH in 1909.

Thank you. . .
