This information is for a woman on the Worcester board. She is looking for the marriage of Mary Field to Jeremiah Lucius. Mary Field's parents lived in Fitchburg for the 1850 census and Mary was listed as being 11 years old. Her parents have a child in Fitchburg in 1851, then two sons in West Boylston 1853 & 1855. The child born in 1855 was recorded in Fitchburg vital records but listed as being born in West Boylston. From this information I am assuming Mary Field moved with her family to West Boylston, met Jeremiah Lucius, married and together they had a child, Jeremiah Jr, August 1854 in West Boylston. Mary does state on one census she was 13 when first married. By 1857, Mary & Jeremiah Lucius are living in New Hampshire. Mary Field's name in Canada was Philomene Gendron Deschamps and the family was listed as Disher in the 1850 census but when the children were born in West Boylston they went by the name Field. Jeremiah Lucius was born Francious Remi Renaud Deslauriers in Canada but have only found him listed as Jeremiah Lucius. He was a harness maker.
I have search the Fitchburg and Worcester & West Boylston on line vital records and have come up empty; as well as a general search of all of Massachusetts.
Looking for marriage of:
Mary Field to Jeremiah Lucius 1853-54; residents of West Boylston
Thanks, Cheryl
