Looking for information on:

It's address?

It's physical location?  i.e. on east side of main in a block bordered by?

Date of closure?

Date of demolition

Thank You,

My Mom worked there as a secretary to the owner, Leon Newton, from 1960 - 1970 - the store became a bargain basement sometime in the 70's -
later torn down.  It was located near the old North High Annex - and a restaurant called the 'central kitchen' - don't remember exact address.
Hope that helps

Yes, my dad owned a Beauty parlor and beauty college, immediately behind Barnards, on the second floor.  My mother was one of the beauticians at the time.  He owned it through @ 1948, and then he had a massive stroke and died.  Subsequently I was put up for adoption, and am now "these many years" later looking for whatever information I can on him (Mr. Ernest Trahan), or my mom - (Mrs. Rita Perkins), both now deceased.
