Title: Church Related Question
Post by: ed1263 on November 01, 2003, 09:34:36 PM
Sometime in the early to mid 1950's my mother, from Rhode Island was brought to a convent out here in Worcester. She thinks it was called the Venerini Mission. Does anyone have any idea where thsi would have been? She only remembers it being up on a big hill overlooking Worcester. At the time she went to a catholic school in East Providence, RI but the nuns were from this Venerini order. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ed Miley

Venerini is still in Worcester as a pre-K through grade 8 school.  Don't have the exact address but I believe it is on Edwards Street in the Belmont Hill section of the city. It remains, up on a hill as you described.

Try calling the school to see if you can get the information you are seeking.
