Catherine Pierce

Helping an acquaintance with some genealogy before she leaves for Ireland.  Uncertain of birth location of her grandmother in Northern Ireland.  She was the daughter of John & Mary (   ) Pierce born c. 1883 and married Harry F. Hadley around 1913.  They ended up in Worcester...he worked for Norton.  I found them at 25 Marconi Rd. in the 1930 census.  She died  29 Nov. 1940.   She told me she came on the Oceanic in 1906 which is odd because she's an american citizen and how can that be?  Can anyone help us with this?  I'm going to help her register on Worcestertalk this week.

I know, this is a mystery to me, unless this is the wrong passenger list for her.  That would have meant that her father was american or that she was born in america despite her parents nationalities.  Will check NEHGS for birth.

My friend now believes the passenger list was not the one for her grandmother.  I've encouraged her to get the marriage record to see if that holds anything.
