Sunday meeting for researchers WPL

I'm thinking that now that the Worcester Public Library is open on Sunday afternoons this winter, we should have another get together for worcester irish researchers.  We can book one of the rooms, have refreshments and talk about our work and ask advice about brick walls we've hit.  I've heard that there will be a genealogy conference at the library in April.   What do you all think?  I love this board but I also think we should try to meet face to face.

I'll need to book the room and see when it's available.  Also if we talk it up a little, we'll get more people there.  I was thinking February...

  I should have booked the library sooner as there are no rooms available on Sundays in February or March.  Sorry to get your hopes up.  Worcmik, do you think we might be able to meet at the AOH and maybe get together for lunch there (optional) beforehand?  I'm still thinking a Sunday afternoon in mid to late Feb. to give us enough time to advertise...

I'm in for a get together.  Would it be possible to just meet in the genealogy section of the library, although lunch at AOH sounds good too!

I'm with Cheryl, I think we can just meet at the genealogy section. It is a public place and we are not so numerous or boisterous as to need a room to ourselves. I would think the new genealogy reference librarian would be overJoyed to see the added traffic.  john

I have gotten special permission to meet upstairs.  Joy Henning, the new Genealogy Reference Librarian will be ther so we can meet her.  She may also give a brief introduction to some of the new irish materials they have.

We will have an informal roundtable about what we're working on and what we may need help on...everyone's invited.

Boo Hoo No refreshments this time.  Maybe one of the Carroll girls can make it!  Our new pet project!
