Emmet Guard
« on: January 16, 2006, 04:47:54 PM »
I am looking for any information on the Emmet Guard.  I am told that it was an Irish Ceremonial Military Guard.  I have ancestors that were in the Guard and one that was buried (1904) with military honors having many of the Emmet Guard attending.

I appreciate any help.

That Military Honors unit may have been a part of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, which was founded in New York City, in 1836.
