Worcester Irish Music Festival June 14 & 15, 2008
« on: May 22, 2008, 02:17:56 PM »
Saw a poster for this in worcester today and then looked it up online.  At the AOH on Temple Street.

Black 47 is playing and other nifty groups of irish, canadian and local descent

their website is www.worcesteririshmusicfestival.com

Worcmik and others, should we try to get a free table (not that there are ones, but we still may be in good graces with the AOH to get one)
and show /talk people about worcester irish genealogy?

or we don't and just enjoy the good music.

Hi Merski,
I have been holding off to see if my plans would fall through and we could meet up in Worcester, but it looks like I'm "busy" Saturday & Sunday.  Lots of graduation parties.

So sorry to hear that, cheryl.  Mary Gail a worcester O'Connor descendant is coming so we'll know at least one person there.  They are planning to make this an annual event so maybe next year we can arrange for a little workshop or something.

Had a great time on Saturday and we're going back today....The group from Vancouver the Town Pants was just wonderful.  We hope to get to hear them again at 11 am.  There's a huge tent so noone's in the rain or sun and ok food.  The sessiuns in the building are just what I;d expect to see in an irish pub!   Wonderful!
